I don't know how many times I can possibly apologize, but I'm very very sorry for not updating CR for *counts* 4 months? :( My life was pretty hectic, with school and cheer. But then when summer hit, all I focused on was having the time of my life. I neglected this site and lost interest, but now I am attempting to emerge myself back into the webdesign world. So everyone...I'm Back!
I'm really sorry to those loyal visitors, and please don't give up on me. :) I'm back and I hope to keep this site running until I start college. I honestly did lose interest in graphic and webdesign, but hopefully the interest is coming back! Sophomore year is starting soon for me and with a bunch of AP and honor classes AND cheer, I don't know if I can do it. But I will try. :D
So this new layout is starting it all off! I hope you like it? I bought a Juicy purse on Ebay for school and I thought it would make a cool layout. So above, you can see a little abstract piece of art made from my Juicy bag. This whole layout is very Juicy-inspired. :)
For the last 3 weeks remaining of summer, I'm going to try to make some more tutorials because I think that's what people like best. I also need to clean out the affiliates and change the rules because I have about 200 emails of applications I've yet to reply too. xD Please comment on this blog on what you would like for me to make! I've been gone for so long, I no longer know what the popular demand is.

I am very sorry about the popups that were on my site. I had NO idea that the popups were causing viruses to everyone's computers.
However, I want you guys to know that I do not make money off of Candie Rocks. Those popups were because of my tagboard. Since it is a free service, they have the right to put popups and I can't do anything about it.

Don't be fooled by those chubby cheeks and kind image portrayed on Disney Channel. Sabrina Bryan makes little girls cry. Who's Sabrina Bryan? The chubby Cheetah Girl. She used to be my FAVORITE Cheetah girl too!
So I was at a cheer competition yesterday at this place called the Long Beach Pyramid. Sabrina Bryan was there because she coaches Esperanza(a high school)'s Song team. (It's like a dance team) Hoping to get a picture with her, me and my teammates go over to where she was. What we saw was appalling.
A 6 year old girl walked up to Sabrina and asked her for a picture, and Sabrina yelled a blunt No and walked away. The little girl started to cry. Then a cheerleader who was next to us said that she asked for a picture too, but Sabrina refused.
Later on in the day, a couple of my school's varsity cheer girls said they went up and asked Sabrina for a picture, and she replied
"You have one picture and 5 seconds."
They said she said it in a very mean tone. They got the picture, and when I looked at it, Sabrina had this annoyed look on her face.
She is my favorite Cheetah girl no longer. Go Adrienne Bailon! She's a has-been and acts like she's Britney Spears or something. I wish I could've videotaped the girl asking for a picture, because it would've been perfect for TMZ.

chris brown hit rihanna with an umbrella ella eh eh eh
I'm sure you've all heard about Chris Brown and Rihanna failing to attend the Grammy's. You've also probably heard WHY.
Based on what I've heard, Chris Brown and Rihanna were on their way home from the Pre-Grammy party, and then he assaulted her. According to TMZ.com, Chris Brown's arrest referred to his assualt with a deadly weapon, but there was no weapon involved in the alleged attack. However, they found an umbrella in the car. How ironic...
Currently, law enforcement sources are saying Rihanna's injuries were severe (2 huge contusion which swelled up on both sides of her forehead) TMZ also states she suffered from a bloody lip and nose.
Reading the comments left on TMZ were hilarious. Here are some of my favs:

cute boys + easy program = fantastic day in computer graphics!
So I walk into my second day of computer graphics today, expecting the worst. I slowly trudge towards my seat in the corner, while all the eyes stared at me since I was in my cheer uniform. All of a sudden...what do I see?!?! A white binder next to the my computer! Someone attempted to take my seat! Ohh noo they didn'tt. Completely disregarding the binder, I sit down and claim my territory. All of a sudden an incredibly cute guy walks towards me. He takes his binder, and murmers
"I guess I'm not sitting here then."
Ooooppsieee. So I quietly reply, "Sorry."
Where we sat in the beginning of the class didn't matter anyways because we got a seating chart, and it was alphabetical. My last name starts with a T so I was stuck at my own little table with 2 other people. We were isolated from the rest of the computers. On the left of me sat this hugee guy in flannel. I swear, his hand was the size of my face. And on the right, sat this little asian girl who was half my size. (And mind you, I'm small enough already)
Before the teacher began the lesson for today, he asked the Flannel Giant if he wanted to move up to an empty seat (where someone was absent) so he could see better. He refused the offer and so the teacher offered the seat to me. I agreed, and walked to the seat. On the left of me, was the cute guy from the beginning of the period! And on the right of me, was another cute guy whom I've never seen before. It was an amazing seat. I found out that the cute guy's name was Michael Behan. (I found out later at lunch one of my friends is already crushing on him, so she called dibs hah)
I could hardly pay attention to the lesson considering the fact that I was surrounded by hotties. (I guess the whole class aren't nerds!) Michael Behan shifted in his seat the whole time trying to sleep, and the guy on the right of me was playing games on his phone the whole time. What we learned today was incredibly easy and the program was similar to paint shop pro too which was good. The class is off to a better start!
First day of school is always so difficult. New teachers, new classes, a chance to make new friends. Luckily, today was the first day of the second semester, therefore I only had to endure half the pain of the first day of school.
As I mentioned in my previous blog, I'm taking a new elective called computer graphics. So I enter the classroom today 2 minutes before the bell, and there were already people sitting in front of computers logging in. I'm thinking, "Oh crap. I don't know what to do. Why are they logging in?! I don't even know how to log into a school computer!" So I freak out and stand there for a whole minute just staring at everyone. Then I ask this girl sitting at the computer closest to me, "What are we supposed to be doing?" And she bluntly replies, "Go find a seat." So the little freshman I am, I walk to the corner of the room and sit down. Then this HUGE junior comes in and sits down next to me. He says, "Hey" in his deeeeepp voice. Then I reply in my little high pitched squeal, "Hi." And I avoid eye contact the rest of the period.
Note to self: Become friends with the big junior, he's cute.(;
For the next 5 minutes, (the longest 5 minutes of my life), I turn around and strain my neck to look at the door, praying for someone I know to walk in. All of a sudden, VOILA! Someone I know walks in! Who could it beee?
Well anyways, my archenemy walks in and I'm thinking, "Oh shhhiiieeettt" Luckily she plants her toosh on the opposite side of the classroom...so we're all good. :)
The teacher finally walks up to the screen, literally 10 minutes after the bell rang, and begins to tell us about what we'll be doing in his class.
To sum up, we'll be working with Adobe Illustrator and we'll be learning how to make vectors! Vectors are the graphics that I know least about, so I'm anxious to get this class started. Hopefully I'll learn some cool tricks that I can show you guys! :)

None of my friends know about this site. I've never told anyone, nor will I ever. So today when I got my new schedule for second semester, I got computer graphics as my new semester elective.
All my friends were laughing at me because I was stuck in a nerdy class with a bunch of buck-toothed-glasses-wearing nerds. (I do not believe this, but my friends said that exactly) So in front of them, I was like "I can't believe I'm stuck with this elective", but on the inside, I'm thinking YAYYYY!!!! I'm so excited!!!!! I'm going to be learning some cool techniques and stuff now. Yay!
Average student by day...webdesigner by night.

Now for David Archuleta news, his new Spring tour dates were posted and there's one in Ponoma, CA! That's an hour away from where I live! AHHHH!!!!!! I was crying my eyes out and jumping up and down screaming when I saw that tour date. I'm trying to get tickets now, ahh wish me luck! :P

I find this rather amusing. This gives me another reason to hate Angelina Jolie. She thinks she's too good for Ryan I guess. I never liked her, never will. To me, she's fake. And adopting those kids makes the other kids in the orphanage feel bad and plus it's not like she has the time to take care of them anyways. She adopts kids for the publicity, I think.
Last night my mom left to go to some concert for old people. This morning, I got out of bed, as chipper as ever singing Crush by David Archuleta. Then all of a sudden
HONK HONK - my mom was back from the grocery store. Me and my sister ran downstairs to help bring in the groceries. All of a sudden, out of no where, my mom starts yelling at us.
"GO UPSTAIRS AND PUT ON YOUR CLOTHES RIGHT NOW! (we were in our pajamas) NICOLETTE YOU BETTER NOT STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR! JUST PUT IT UP IN A PONYTAIL! GO GO GO!"
I felt like I was at boot camp. So I went upstairs, changed, threw my hair into a bun, and ran downstairs.
"YOU GUYS BETTER HELP YOUR DAD PUT UP ALL OF THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS FROM THE FRONT YARD AND HELP ME BRING IN THE GROCERIES! ALL YOU DID FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS IS SIT ON YOUR LAZY ASS PLAYING COMPUTER! YOU BETTER HELP HIM PUT EVERYTHING AWAY! KENDALL (my sister) GO LINE UP THE SHOES! CLEAN MY CAR! I cracked some jokes here and there and got a smile out of my mom. I'd say I lightened up the mood pretty well. :) So I just finished putting away all the decorations and now the house is finally silent. No more yelling. This whole personality change came out of the blue. Wait, does this have to do with her new years resolution?!?!

HOWEVER, from now on, I will try to use some stock photos and limit the celeb images. I've also deleted some of the useless graphics that used celebrity images. Ex. music skins and wallpapers.
I just couldn't get myself to delete the icons, free layouts, or blends. xD

So tonight is New Years Eve and I hope you all have fun partying it upp! I, unfortunately, am stuck at home with my sister watching Disney Channel and the new episode of Wizards of Waverly place on at midnight. OMGOMGOMG IM SO EXCITED! AHHHH....not. My mom believes children like me should "not be partying on New Years Eve, we should instead be at home with our families". Wow. Then what's up with people posting bullitens on Myspace about the parties they're going to tonight?!?!
Speaking of my mother, her New Years Resolution is to be more strict with me. Sucks, eh? What kind of resolution is that?! I was invited to a New Years party this Friday and she won't let me go. Yes, I'm bummed. Incredibly bummed. MOM ARE YOU READING THIS?!?!?!?! LET ME GOOO!!! PLEASEEE??? I'll try to beg another time when she's happy. :)
I'm not very big on New Years Resolutions. Mine is the same each year: eat less, loose weight, get healthy. I'm not overweight or anything, I just want some nice abs. Summer's almost here, Nicolette's gotta look good in a bikini. :D

I put up CR for more reviews a couple days ago and people keep telling me to get rid of all my graphics with celebrity images. If I get rid of all of those, that would be my most popular content- gone. All of my hard work- gone. I understand it is illegal to use celebrity images, but I'm not selling my graphics or anything. I'm really confused. So please help me out in the poll below or give me some advice on what to do in the comments section. :/

So here comes the explanation for my lack of updating. You've heard it a gazillion times on my blog, and I'll say it again. I've been too busy. Lame excuse, I know.
Tons have happened in my life since my last update practically a month ago. I've met Jesse McCartney, went to the KIIS FM Jingle Ball, was 5 feet away from David Archuleta screaming my head off, and more. My homework load has gotten heavier day after day, and I've been assigned the boringest "classics" to read such as The Odyssey and To Kill a Mockingbird.
As a teenager, I do want to have a life rather than merely browsing the internet and working on my site 24/7. Don't get me wrong, I love working on Candie Rocks, and I don't plan to leave it soon, but I like to enjoy life away from my home office.
Laziness is also a factor-- I find myself browsing Myspace for hours with nothing better to do, but yet, I can't get off my lazy butt and make something for the visitors.
So New Year's Resolution: Update the site more frequently! I will try to add some more tutorials (since those are popular), some scripts, and brushes.
I'll tryyy my hardest! New Layout! I'm going to be more active. Pinky promise!
